Tempered glass

Tempered glass is a safety glass with increased strength both physically and thermally. It is heated up to about 700 degrees and then rapidly cooled "quenched" the toughening will create 'balanced internal stresses' which would mean that if it's broken the glass would crumble into small, less harmful pieces as opposed to dangerous large shards. Tempered glass is 4-5 times stronger than annealed. And our tempered glass meets the AN/NZS 2008-1996 safety glazing standards, ANSI Z971-2009, CPSC-16CFR 1201 Standards, and BS6206:1981 standards.

Heat soak treament is also available.
